1.02.2007 - Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!

Cycling Update:

December: 422.73 miles
I know I could have knocked out 500+ easily but I took a week off for x-mas in SoDak and didn't ride at all while I was there.

Goal for Jan: 550 miles.
Knocked out 22 last night before bed time. To reach my January goal I have to average 17.75 miles a day. So I should be good if I average a little more than an hour a day.



Total for 2006: 1627.02 miles.

422.73 - December
451.71 - November
86.00 - October
45.02 - September
55.11 - August
47.71 - July
125.53 - June
87.26 - May
229.25 - April
30.02 - March
30.58 - February
16.10 - January

I have already surpassed my January total from last year and hope to have matched last years mileage before the end of March.

On another note, I have put more miles on my bike than on the Mitsubishi in the last 2 months. Happy New Year again!

Do you aim for straight mileage, Pete, or do you have other drivers? Heart? Weight? Faster? That sort of thing?

I have been doing straight milage but also recording watts and heartrate. I am going to start trying to increase watts and lower heart rate soon. :\ How about you?

I'm only up to about 13 miles a morning (little further on weekends), so I'm just going for some fat reduction and muscle building at the moment. But I have my heart rate and bicycling book and Lance Armstrong training book sitting next to the bed so in a month or two I can start some cardio training for those long climbs up the mountains at RAGBRAI.
