Eiffel and I
Yep that is me, and that is the Eiffel Tower. It is large and people hawk trinkets all around it.
Eiffel and Anne
Supposedly this was a temporary structure designed for the World's Fair
Just Eiffel
Everything you wanted to know about the tower. 2.5 Million rivets
Colorful
People in Paris don't wear colors but they sure like then on buildings and stuff.
Grand Arche
This is the Grande Arche of La Défense. It has a net in the middle because tiles fall off it and will kill you.
More Color
Still in La Défense area, they have some of coolest reflecting pools and fountains.
Pool of Lights
If you ever go to Paris you need to check it out the business district.
Close up of the Pool
I love the augers with the lights on top. If I remember correctly some kid fell in when we were there.
Bibliothèque nationale de France
That means National Library. They have 4 of these buildings shaped like a rectangle.
Red Rhino
This is a red rhino a the Pompedou Center. I think you weren't suppose to take pictures of it.
Top of Pompedou?
I think was on top of the Pompedou or through a window maybe.
1st Floor
Looking up the Eiffel
Looking over Paris
That is the River Seine, take cruise down the river at night, worth it.
View from the top
Anne was a trooper, she HATES heights and still came up here with me.
Speaking of Heights
Up at the top they have these holes in the center for you to look down on the people below the tower. Anne wouldn't look through these. Or even get close.
Louvre
Gotta love the Louvre. Go, you will never see everything there but you still need to go.
Support
I need these in the basement of any house that is built or I live in.
Codex
Created in 1780BC this is the Code of Hammurabi.
Gotta love Ancient Mesopotamia
Anne likes giant winged things carved into stone.
Oh Mona
Leo is a good painter and stuff I guess. Why won't these people move?
Louvre Entrance
I.M. Pei's Louvre Pyramid, it is now the entrance to the Louvre. Some think it is too modern for the Louvre.
Anne Standing
I think this was just outside of the Louvre, but I sure could be wrong. It was like 5 years ago.
Versailles
This is the entrance to Versailles. You must go. It is only like 10 miles from the heart of Paris.
Versailles
That guy, Louis XIV on a horse.
Pave
I wouldn't want to ride my road bike on these but they race on these things around here.
Versailles Again
Anne and I were standing behind the palace. I took someone's picture right after I timed this one. There was this Canadian chick following us to all the tourist attractions, she annoyed us.
Versailles Gardens
I wish it was the summer when we were there. The gardens were still damn cool.
Versailles Gardens #2
Somebody get these horses outta the water!
Versailles Palace
This is the Loggia of the Grand Trianon. The palace had some of the first large mirrors in the world. It is neato.
Hameau
This is Marie-Antoinette's pastoral pondside Hameau.
Hameau #2
Marie-Antoinette played here and stayed here before she got her head chopped off.
Versailles Fence
This has to be one of the coolest fences around. Who wants to climb around that with shit that is going to poke you in the ass.
Versailles Gardens
Man the gardens here are fricken huge and perfect.
Arc de Triomphe and Anne
This is a big Arc, you need to go under the street to get to it.
Arc de Triomphe and Pete
Find out more info here.
Anne and I
That is the Champs-Élysées you can see from the top of the Arc and between our necks here.
La Marseillaise
I wish I had a helmet with dragons on it.
Stairs
The stairs back down. There are quite a few stairs and if you don't like heights, don't look down.
FDR Station
It is a cool looking Metro station.
Pete with Picture
Anne and I visited the Musée d'Orsay and it is cool.
Anne with Picture
Still at Musée d'Orsay.
Musée d'Orsay
Looking across the museum away from the big clock.
Grin and Bear it.
Anne and her favorite animal, the polar bear.
Anne, Pete, and the Bear.
Aww, ain't that sweet?
Musée Rodin?
I think this is looking out the window at the garden/courtyard.
The Thinkers
I look pretty close don't I? Anne kept yelling at me to move my leg out more...
La Porte de l'Enfer
aka "The Gates of Hell", More info here: Rodin
Place de la Concorde
The item you see lit up is The Obelisk of Luxor. It is neat. In the summer of 1794 more than 1300 people were executed here.
Dinner
This was one of the coolest places I have even had food. It was at the end of an road and was about as big as my living room in my apartment total. Kitchen and dining space.
Metro
This is how you get on the train, cool entrance huh?
Basilica of the Sacré Cœur
This is the highest point in Paris
Overlooking Paris
This is looking out from Sacré Cœur, you can see everything.
Churchy
Another church, but I don't know which. Anne?
Spectacle
They have these all around Paris and they tell you what is up.
Notre Dame de Paris
Man that place is big. You need to go walk around it sometime.

This was taken from the river at night. Take the boat tour!
